​Cline’s Landscapes Inc. is owned and operated by Doug Cline, A.A.S. Horticulture Technology.  We are a full-service landscape company that also offers bulk materials such as mulch, dirt, sand, stone, and related materials at our business site off Old Concord road.   We are fully licensed and insured.  Since the 1950’s the Cline name has been associated with landscapes and landscape supplies.  Doug’s grandfather “Pop” Cline known to most as WA Cline owned a dump truck.  He would be hired to haul materials various places., and he would back haul mulch, sand, and stone to the family homestead so that he would never run his truck without a load.  Friends and family would come by and get what they needed for their yard or driveway and haul it in their pick-ups back home.  Usually, Doug’s grandmother, “Mom” Cline would load people with the tractor while Pop was out driving the truck.  This began the family business of Cline’s Bark, Stone, and Sand Company.  It continued with Mom and Pop Cline running the business until 1980.  At that time Doug’s uncle, Coach WA Cline, Jr. and Doug’s father Wayne Cline kept the ball rolling working together until 1988 when Coach Cline retired from the family business.  Wayne continued to run the business solo until Doug was old enough to see over the tractor hood.  After high school Doug graduated from Haywood Community College with a degree in Horticulture Technology.  I n 1997 Doug started his own company Cline’s Landscaping.  Thanks to lots of hard work and wonderful customers the business was successful.  Recently, Wayne decided it was time to slow down and think about retiring.  On January 1, 2010 Cline’s Bark, Stone, and Sand and Cline’s Landscaping became Cline’s Landscapes Inc.  A company dedicated to serving Rowan County citizens and surrounding counties with quality products, dependable service, reasonable prices, and foremost honesty.  A company where a gentlemen’s handshake is still a valued agreement.    We pride ourselves in quality work, but also meeting our customers every expectation.  Our job is not complete until our client is completely satisfied! The Cline family would like to thank all of our customers for their business and we look forward to serving the Salisbury area for many more years to come !
